Sales & Marketing Manager

Chill Factore / The Snow Centre

Are you an experienced Sales & Marketing professional within the Leisure sector (ideally with a background in Operations)? Are you keen to work in a fast-paced business that has a great team ethos?

We have an exciting new role for a Sales & Marketing Manager to join our team, working across our two locations, Chill Factore (Manchester) and The Snow Centre (Hemel Hempstead).

This role will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of the business, through leading and managing the Sales and Marketing teams across both locations. They will be responsible for developing strategic initiatives, and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue, working with two different brands in a manner that brings synergy and portrays our passion for Snowsports. This role will require you to work closely with various operation departments to ensure our sales and marketing strategy delivers a core element of our exceptional guest journey.

Key activities:

Sales

· Direct and execute a rolling 12-month sales strategy to achieve business objectives and deliver revenue targets for the group which aligns to Marketing strategy.

· Analysing budgets, supporting in preparing annual budget plans and ensuring that the sales team meets their quotas and goals.

· Weekly and monthly sales and service analysis and driving incremental improvements for B2B, Reception teams, and the Contact Centers across the Group

· Work collaboratively with the Business Analyst team to ensure products are appropriately scheduled to optimize our peak trading period and drive revenue during non-peak times.

· Lead and attend external trade events to showcase our brands, connect with potential brand partners and foster B2B sales leads

· Drive a sales culture across both sites which is built upon the foundations of exceptional guest service, and providing products best suited to compliment the guest experience.

· Lead and manage the Sales Managers at each site to ensure smooth and efficient communications between the Sales and Marketing Departments and measure the effectiveness of campaigns

Marketing

· Develop and action a rolling 12-month strategic marketing plan for the business, encompassing both Chill Factore and The Snow Centre, paying special attention to the differences between each brand and maximising the product offering of each location.

· Develop and lead all marketing activities across two locations, including leading and supporting your marketing team, located at both sites.

· Oversee and monitor campaign delivery and review effectiveness, identifying creative and cost effective solutions to each campaign requirement

· Analyse marketing statistics to determine business growth potential.

· Coordinate marketing operations with all other departments of the Company.

· Be responsible for and closely monitor the quality of marketing communications produced and creative execution of the brands, acting as the brand champion and making sure the brand guidelines are followed in all communications and adapted appropriately.

· Develop marketing and communication materials that support and extend our brands

· Manage the annual marketing expenditure budgets and report on status as required

· Lead and deliver on our CRM strategy and be responsible for the implementation of CRM based communication activities.

· Attend Board meetings when required and present updated marketing plans

People & Leadership

· Be a hands-on member of the senior leadership team with an active presence across both locations

· Work collaboratively across departments and locations to gain a comprehensive understanding of our unique business and guest profile

· Provides leadership to the day-to-day operations of the marketing and sales departments, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals.

· Recruit, develop and train a high-performing sales and marketing team whilst setting clear KPIs to achieve business success.

· Establishes performance goals for all marketing team members and Sales Managers, developing their skillset and harnessing their potential.

· Monitor team performance on a continual basis and proactively addressing team feedback

· Play an active role within the management of the company, attending meetings as required.

· To ensure that all marketing and sales team members are fully briefed and trained and capable of fulfilling their roles.

Experience

· Extensive operational, marketing and sales experience operating at a senior level within the Leisure industry.

· Technical and operational knowledge utilising online booking systems and CRM systems

· Strong management, leadership and negotiation skills

· Outstanding copywriting, presentational and communication skills, with good CRM skills

· Extensive experience of creating, presenting and executing marketing and sales strategies

· A strong interest in the snow sports industry (preferred but not essential)

· Be able to work well in a dynamic and fast moving environment

Working Hours & Environment:

The Snow Centre and Chill Factore operate 7 days a week, and the business expects a flexible approach to working at evenings/weekends/public holidays. During a major product launch or trade show, you may put in longer hours to meet the deadline.

Ability to split your time equally across both locations with frequent travel expected (full driving licence is advantageous.
